Position:
Mechanical Assembler Entry Level
Location: Technical Center, Farmington Hills, MI
Reports To: Production Manager

Do you have good manual dexterity?  Can you follow instructions to assemble small components using hand tools, like screw drivers and hand drills?  If so, we could use your help on our Production Team!  After 90 days, you can become eligible for medical insurance and nice perks, in addition to growth and developmental opportunities. 

SKILLS & WORK EXPERIENCE:

♦ Ability to properly follow instructions
♦ Ability to effectively handle hand tools, such as a hand drills, plyers, and wire snips
♦ Ability to pay close attention to detail and ensure quality, demonstrating proficient inspection skills
♦ Ability to work efficiently and adhere to production schedule requirements
♦ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
♦ Must have organizational ability
♦ Soldering skills are a plus
♦ Progressive fabrication experience is helpful
♦ Must have a high standard of professionalism
♦ Must have reliable attendance and an ability to work overtime


EDUCATION & TRAINING:

♦ High School Diploma or Equivalent
♦ Prior leadership training a plus


RESPONSIBILITIES:

♦ Work in a fast pace environment
♦ Work in cellular or sequential assembly environment
♦ Read mechanical / production assembly drawings and follow instructions
♦ Use power tools including drills, saws, cranes, and sheet metal punching tools
♦ Use specialty tools to secure components to various pieces of metal surfaces
♦ Use Ohm meters to verify correct resistor values and current coil readings
♦ Utilize standard and metric measurements
♦ Mount sub-assemblies to various metal plates, panels, and brackets
♦ Solder leads to Printed Circuit boards
♦ Install pre-made harness assemblies
♦ Lift up to 50lbs.
♦ Exhibit a strong attention to detail and an ability to
♦  Comply with company policies
♦ Follow all quality processes
♦ Exhibit strong organization skills
♦ Perform tasks efficiently to a high level of quality
♦ Possess basic wiring tools including screw drivers, wire snips, needle nose pliers, Allen wrenches, and a flashlight

ADDITIONAL:

♦ Hours: Monday Friday, 6a-4:30p,plus Saturday 6a-12p
♦ Half hour unpaid lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks per workday
♦ Must pass a drug screen
