WTC's RAFT (Resistive Adaptive Feedback Technology)

RAFT TM

Take control of your resistance welding process with the implementation of RAFT TM (Resistive Adaptive Feedback Technology).

RAFT TM removes the nuisance and time consuming tweaking of weld schedules due to minor disturbances faced in manufacturing facilities.

RAFT TM lends a helping hand in the resistance welding manufacturing process by automatically adjusting your constant current program by adaptively changing current and or time as needed to overcome weld disturbances.

RAFT TM will maintain consistency in your welding process and indicate when secondary tooling needs maintenance.

The future

KEY BENEFITS OF RAFT TM

RAFT TM will adapt the weld schedule via current and or time to tackle weld disturbances such as:

  Part fit up
  Part thickness variations
  Misaligned electrodes
  Variations in coatings
  Sealers
  Weld force variations
  Shunting
  Machine tooling degradation

RAFT TM  option for the WT6000

The WT6000 offers a new platform of inverter technology designed for high speed data collection, transmission and data analysis. The programming style is consistent with the previous Welding Technology Corp. series controls. The ease of programming lends well to the intuitive style of RAFT™ programming.

WT6000 Weld Control

RAFT TM  set up is easy

1. Create your constant current weld schedule
2. Turn on reference mode
3. Weld
4. Verify the spot weld is acceptable, nugget size and strength
5. Set as reference
6. Turn on AdaptQ TM  mode

RAFT TM  is comprised of two independent software components.

RAFT TM
= AdaptQ TM & SoftQ TM

AdaptQ TM  is a software algorithm designed to manipulate both current & or time based on resistive feedback  from the weld that is taking place. You decide on the current and time that your process can safely allow for maximum productivity.
